Game of the goose shop in Paris

I found this shop a couple of years ago in Paris but I was not too involved in that game during that time. I came back to Paris now and I looked for this shop specifically and I found it thanks to GPS position in the photo I took the other time. Well, more or less, but I finally found it.

Nowadays I'm full dedicated to my personal project about Game of the goose, which I should choose a name for. The shop is full of old versions, all of them handmade by the owner based on the original games. Fascinating. This level of quality provides a great feeling. The book attached is a great plus Inspiration.

Here I show how is going with my own work. Draft to be finished soon:

Sennelier, Paris

Located in the other side of Senna river, in front of Louvre. Maybe the outside says nothing to the eyes and certainly the window is so simple and (apparently) careless. But wait to see inside. It's exactly the old style I'd like for a studio with all these wooden drawers and shelves. Every year of its long history is doing the atmosphere better and better.

In the second floor there are plenty of choices for drawing. I was surprised by the variety of Japanese fine tools, not easy to find in real shops by there.

Paris sights

People looking at Eiffel Tower.
Here some photos from my last visit to Paris. The world is going crazy. I always say the time for tourist places is gone. All sights are full of people everywhere and the experience when visiting them is always the same.

Avoid places with tickets windows and buses.

Paris Le Bourget

I came back to Paris Le Bourget again, two years after my first visit. It´s supposed me to be interested in the airplanes since I work on that field, but soon I started to be focused on the weird people I saw in everywhere. Yes, Martin Parr´s spirit visited me and pushed me to point my camera to the visitors.

As usual, weapons traders keep going their war business, which generate huge quantity of money. They show to themselves as airplanes manufacturers or guards who take care of the “Defense”, but not be confused: They are dealing weapons and control the war world market. Surprisingly child were allow to attend the show. Even they were accompanied for their parents, of course very proud to be good engineers or managers. I know most of them are not aware of the consequences of their work. They just follow the way, they are good employees.

This is a little sample of what I found by there:
Bellow A350 overflying Le Bourget. It was just the third flight since the first flight last Friday.

Added later: Just a few days ago I realized Martin Parr himself was there too, and taken photos of the people in the way he usually does. A great observer who I admire. I was a little shocked for this coincidence.

Angelina, Paris

The long queue along the Rue de Rivoli shows the entrance to Angelina, a great example of decoration and a place with a very Parisian stylish. The chocolate is not only for exhibition, you also can taste it, it's real. It works just interchanging a few euros.

La notre spécialité was excelent, almost as good as the little churrería in my neighborhood, that which was there since always and has a size for about 3 people, not more, and standing.

Paris and it's not Summer

It's the first time I visit Paris out of Summer season.

I've heard that Galeries Lafayette is the most beautiful shop in the world and also de biggest lingerie store. Its dome is so awesome.

Versailles was full of normal people from everywhere.
I didn't miss the chance to take a self-portrait in Le Grande Arche de la Défense, a place which I always like

Paris metro, again

Paris metro always takes my camera's eye. I find it full of life. Dirty, stylish and a great mix of details.
As a new, I realized some line has been updated with modern trains without driver.

Metro de París

El metro de París siempre me ha parecido viejo y sucio. Aunque ahora está algo más arreglado, con algunos trenes nuevos e incluso contadas escaleras mecánicas, tiene un encanto y vida especiales, como el resto de la ciudad.
