Spacetime surprises

I´m quite sure some day in the future one person from Earth will take a telescope and will see the same Earth planet in the sky. Spacetime will reveal fun surprises.

Airplanes in which I have worked

I worked as aeronautic engineer for (too many) years. Mainly as designer in big passengers airplanes by Airbus. Despite the monotonous daily work in an office it also had peak and vibrant moments.

Extra-extra-fine tools

Not long time ago Micron Pigma 005 was extremely fine to my eyes. Now using Rotring Isograph 0,10 is in another league. Scary needle tip.

I will like to post about the results and comparison. Actually I still love Micron since it's easier create textures and it's disposable.

Back in Bangkok

I found so useful and enjoyable to document some details from Bangkok in boxes style.
Always, always great moments in Thailand. I miss it so much.

Rotring Isograph

I'm using this extrafine tool during the last weeks. Rotring Isograph keeps the best old style in technical pens. Not only the pen itself, also the box, ink bottle, etc show great quality.

When I was studying engineering there were many shops near university dedicated to these technical tools. A kind of heaven shops full of expensive and quality items. I visited them recently in order to find this Rotring and unfortunately either they are gone or they don't have a wide selection of pens. Sad, sad.

Very happy with this 0,18 needle point and wanting to try 0,10.

Btw, did you know Rotring means Red-Ring (Rot-Ring)? Long live to Rotring.

Aliens shape

Just for fun. Have you ever tried to figure out how the aliens will look like? Hurry up, we are so near to discover them!

Here is my prediction. Actually I did three shots: Worm shape, sphere shape and noodles shape.

Donau's Journey print for sale

ABOUT
Donau's Journey (El viaje de Donau) is not only a journey along the wise river but also a journey through all of our lives, from biological birth all the way to the sea, with many surprises along the way. Donau's Journey takes the form of the classic game "El juego de la oca" and it's more than a just board game. I used the goose game structure as a geometrical base for numerology, links between squares and relationships everywhere. And it can be used for play as well!

Myriad details wait to be discovered, some more hidden than others. Maybe you can feel for yourself the meaning of each square. This has been quite a personal project and at the same time an explanation of my vision of the Cosmos.

"The highest artistic aspiration is the creation of a one's own universe with one's own aesthetic, symbology and ideas."

THE PROCESS
I saw and admired a version by Rafael Alberti in Reina Sofía museum many years ago. I've always wanted to do something similar and finally started to put ideas together in April 2016. This new creation was growing quite fast and a huge quantity of inspiration came to me both day and night. I was fully focused on this project in April and May 2017 in order to complete it. I was too immersed in this fascinating and crazy river. Now, June 2017, the project is completed!

I mostly used Rotring Isograph with Rotring ink and watercolors for the drawings, pencils for some details and fountain pen for the text. Of course all hand done. No tech applied.
