Make your own robot

Not a regular robot but a destroyer robot. If you are too lazy to destroy the world by yourself this cute robot can do it for you. 

The project can be done with Rapberry Pi. Remember the steps: 1: Make an assistant robot to help you to make the destroyer robot. 2: Make the destroyer robot.

Extra tip: Use 9V battery to increase the destroy power.

I want to believe they exist in a real planet somewhere. An expedition found these fantasy creations and they are trying to find out how they work.

Hot spicy wasabi

These green things are evil. 

I found them in many markets in Vietnam. 1 of every 10 is filled inside with 1kg of concentrated wasabi. Head explotes. Full hot spicy. I have to say the ones not spicy are delicious.

I swear don't take one more. Time later I try another one and start again.

Mixed notes

Mixed notes. 

Life is devaluated a little more every time you cross the street in Vietnam. First day you are afraid to die by motorbike hit, which is natural reaction for any living being. Second day you risk a little more. After a few days you reach the nirvana, life has no value, you just walk forward and you put your life in hands of every random unknown biker decision.

Alien choosing Earth's mediator

Aliens are unlike to feel a minimum of interest on visiting Earth. However the HUGE ego of humans drives them to think it’s possible and they even imagine a familiar/domestic scene for that milestone.

OK, let’s imagine that for fun and also let’s add elegant moustache to the aliens. What do aliens would choose as a mediator or representative of Earth? Humans? Oh, aliens probably don’t even see or feel them. Plants? More probable. Virus? Cats? Water? I think water is a good answer. Maybe I was always too influenced by Solaris and the old school Sci-fi. It’s everywhere and it shows weird properties. Maybe it has developed some kind of awareness.

If I were alien I’d choose a wise elephant as a mediator.

And here is the exact moment when a (moustache) alien arrives on Earth and choose an intermediary being to communicate. For some reason aliens shut down 4G and all electronics so our hidden reporter had to paint this little watercolor from memory. Let’s see what more he tells us about that event.

Sichang Island. Thailand

Exploring Sichang island in Thailand. As its name says, island is an isolated place and that’s great for creativity. Many artists chose islands for inspiration.

Being isolated reduces the chances of finding irritating people (or people in general). If one day an irritating organism appears in your way and makes you angry for whatever reason, that means your awareness level is poor. Even if you have to make effort to ignore it, that also demonstrates a not enough level of awareness. See that unbalanced organisms not as an enemies but as a trainers for your awareness. Once you are calm and better person the victory is instant and overwhelming. It will also confuses them sine they expected angry as an answer and it’s fun.

Anyway Thailand is not a place with those kind of people, just the opposite. Incredible good souls everywhere.

Brain connections. Inverted

Playing with Photoshop (one of the best toys ever) while I was designing new cards for my new deck I discovered the beauty of this spread inverted. Details mesmerize me and make me think "Did I draw it?"

A key idea in the evolution of our biological brain deserves much more attention.

Brain connections. Next levels

The next big step in mankind evolution (maybe the ultimate one) is the emergence of a Super Artificial Intelligence. Before that moment other events will happen. Humans have developed magical technology however there are not changes in our biological setup. Even for communicate each other we use EXTREMELY SLOW ways as talking, writing, etc. 

Connections brain-machine and brain-machine-brain will: 

1.) Boost the speed of information. 

2.) Open the door to another level of use of the brain: sharing feelings, instant knowledge or using other humans senses as they were yours. Even every discovery in this field is a huge thing by itself. Can you imagine coming alive again an old experience to your brain, let's say eating a lion, fighting with a cake (or the other way around better), wild sex adventure, etc., or even "import" those experiences from other people?

3.) As a future interface human-AI. I could imagine a scenario where eventually brains are connected each other and also connected to an AI. In this case brains are just like neurons in a new super brain. I guess that new entity will want to explore outside and establish connection with other intelligences. It looks like brain was designed to play with other brains.

Travel route is getting a very different shape

Latest trip.

Once upon a time my route used to be a line across a map. Recently it's more like a magnetic field around Bangkok. Thailand catches me and it's good.

Habemus new notebook!

Starting new notebook with new year, more or less, which is a coincidence since I just start a new one with the old one is completed.

This time I wanted to go one step further and use as archival quality materials as possible. That means changing inks, paper and maybe leather cover.

I found new waterproof (and other magic properties) inks keeping the same colors and I show them in another post.

I tested quite a few high quality papers from a specialist shop. All laid papers in cream color and I fell in love with one of them called Burga because its texture and feeling. However it can't resist the eraser without breaking the external layer of papel so easily. A huge shock after I already bought quite a lot quantity. Conclusion: I continue using my trust Galgo paper 100g/m2 again.

The thickness is much more moderated than the former one, which became quite fat. Actually it's not "pocket" anymore so I decided to make something more portable. There is also a more important reason: Last notebook took me 2 years and I felt some risk when carrying it in my bag during some travels specially in dangerous areas. It could be a big lost if something happened to it. Shortening the time of use also reduce that risk.

I also used the same black leather. The cardboard now is stronger.

New adventures ahead for this baby.
